( the change in octave causes saoirse to raise her brows in response. she shifts and leans back just enough to look at his face better, noting the shade of red that has seemingly overtaken his entire features. as he stammers, she blinks once and then twice before everything (literally) comes spilling out. for a moment, she can only stare and try to figure out the sting of sounds that might have been words.
once it becomes clear, she offers him a tender look and reaches out to gently brush some of his hair away from his face. )

I want you at my side for the night, yes but it does not have to be anything more than that unless... unless that's what you want.
