Hello. I was curious if you still had your little box that captures images.

I do. But while I can take pictures, I can't develop them right now. I ran out of supplies a bit ago...

[This is exactly what he's been worried about. Someone wanting a photo and him not being able to take one for them.]

I'm really sorry. We're trying to figure out a way to make them here, but it's been difficult. [To say the very least. ] Can I ask what you were gonna ask me to photograph?

Ah, I wish you success. It would have been a portrait of my dog and myself, to send to my mother. The dog used to be hers, you see.

There is no need for apologies! I appreciate the sentiment, however, and I will gladly take advantage of your generosity should you get more supplies. And of course I would be happy to pay whatever you wish for the portrait as well.
