Good evening, Serrah Argentum. I know we have yet to formally meet. I am Thranduil, the head of the Research division here in Kirkwall.
[ he calls at an hour fairly soon after the Gallows mess would have closed for the evening. his tone is polite, perfunctory. ]
This is not a social call, but rather one under the purview of Research. Would you mind describing, as best you are able, whatever you were doing shortly before you arrived in Thedas?
[ pause, shuffling of paper. ]
I am seeking to gather information about Rifters. As the Inquisition has stopped conducting formal interviews upon arrival, we do not have much documentation on the phenomenon for those of us who have arrived more recently. You are not obligated to answer, and are quite free to refuse.
[He's only heard of Thranduil, and mostly in passing and just a mention of him being head of Research. Also that he's a Rifter. Naturally, Prompto's surprised that Thranduil's reaching out to him, but that confusion quickly subsides as the other Rifter explains why. He hadn't even known interviews had been conducted in the past, though it makes sense.]
Good evening to you, too. I don't mind answering! Just... let me try to remember.
[He remembers what he was doing for the most part, it's just recalling the details.]
I was with my friends on a train. The last thing I remember was realizing the train was under attack by daemons - er, they're a bit different than the ones here in Thedas, but they're just as dangerous and not fun to fight. Before I could even get out my gun, I found myself falling through a Rift.
No problem. [He wonders if half of that made any sense to the guy, but he supposes he would ask if he wanted clarification.] Any other questions I can answer?
I think as well as a rifter can settle in, yeah. [He shrugs.] Had a couple rough run ins lately, but nothing that escalated. The natives have gotten a bit less friendly lately, but it's not like I don't understand why.
