[ She. Hates. Cold. It was ironic, considering that Oregon isn't exactly the warmest state, but she always dreamed of living in California - southern California, where there were no seasons and, most importantly, there was no. Fucking. Snow.

Grumpy as she was, it was never fun to be bitchy alone; so when she spots Prompto, one of the few familiar faces on this stupid trip, she's going to plop right down next to him, possibly closer than necessary, and pulling her beanie down a little more tightly on her head. ]

I'm filing a complaint, this is ridiculous. { A COMPLAINT WITH WHO, she does not know, but she'll make one, dammit. ]

Careful with the joking, I'll do anything for money. [ It was... a sadly true statement, actually. She blew hot air against the mittens on her hands, hoping it would get trapped inside the wool, but mostly just making her mittens smell like her breath.

Dammit. There's a huff. ]
Got dragged is a more accurate statement. I'm not usually the helping people out by choice type.

Poor Kid Syndrome, or... Whatever. [ You can never have enough!!! Luckily she had a feeling whatever he could come up with, she'd probably done way worse for quick cash. ]

Mm. I'm sure I'll be a bastion of comfort to them, with my warm and welcoming personality. [ She tugs on her scarf, frowning a bit. ] I'm just here to fix crap if it breaks. I think I'd rather be stuck in that stupid library.

[ She snorts in response to both comments - not surprised that his dares were harmless at best or having any doubt that he could be cheerful enough for ten people, let alone two.

But any sassy remarks surrounding it are forgotten at the mention of the scarf, a small smile on her face as she thumbs the wool. That's an average reaction to being told your accessories are cute, right? Sure. ]
Uh - this girl Fern made it for me. She was worried I'd be cold.

[ She feels her cheeks burn a little, dropping her hold on the scarf and huffing just slightly because she doesn't have a crush, really. Shut up, Prompto!!! ]

She's -- yeah, I guess. She's a good friend. [ F R I E N D ] And what do you mean too? { She is unaware of this girlfriend you have Prompto, spill. ]

[ Excuse her while she punches his arm. ] Don't give me that tone, jerk. [ She'll just latch on to the idea of his scarf being more important than hers. ] That was cute of her though. Girlfriends are good for that kind of thing. Uh - not that I would know, I guess. Rachel wasn't really the knitting kind of girl.

Who asked you. [ Grumble grumble, this is the voice of someone who is totally not a child.

She leans in to look at the scarf a little closer though and it's... probably better knit than Fern's, but hey, the girl tried, and that's what matters most. ]
How sentimental. [ It's not said as sarcastically as it could have been and the smile on her face shows she's only teasing for fun. ]
